BEIJING, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Haitong Securities, a major Chinese brokerage, reported robust growth in its net profit in 2020 despite the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic.
Its net profit attributable to shareholders came in at 10.88 billion yuan (about 1.68 billion U.S. dollars) last year, climbing 14.2 percent year on year, according to a preliminary financial statement the company filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The operating revenue of the company rose 9.45 percent from a year ago to 38.16 billion yuan, the statement said.
The company's total assets amounted to 693.7 billion yuan last year, up 8.94 percent year on year, according to the statement. Enditem
