BEIJING, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- China, the world's second-largest green bond market, has issued a total of 1.2 trillion yuan (about 185.43 billion U.S. dollars) of green bonds since the country launched such an eco-friendly finance market in 2016, data by financial information provider Wind showed.
As of Thursday, the country had issued 39 green bonds worth 23.21 billion yuan this year, with the scale up 22 percent year on year, Wind data showed.
Earlier this month, China issued its first batch of carbon-neutral bonds in its interbank bond market.
The bonds, worth 6.4 billion yuan, will be used to finance carbon-reduction projects.
China Three Gorges Corporation, China Huaneng Group, State Power Investment Corporation Limited, China Southern Power Grid Company, Yalong River Hydropower Development Company and Sichuan Province Airport Group were the six issuers of the bonds. Enditem
