BEIJING, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Central China's Hubei Province plans to invest a total of 7.1 billion yuan in building more than 35,000 5G base stations in 2021, expecting to achieve 66,000 stations in total, local authorities revealed on Tuesday.
In addition, Hubei is expected to reach the accumulative 5G base stations amounting to 100,000 by the end of 2022.
Hubei has basically completed an industrial Internet identification analysis system, and is expected to achieve 4 billion registrations on the system in 2021.
While pushing forward the integrated development of 5G technology and industrial Internet, the province also pledges to build 5G secure connection factories for critical industries and fosters ten application scenarios of "5G + industrial Internet" in 2021.
