BEIJING, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- East China's Jiangxi Province has quickened the pace to push forward the development of Internet of Things (IoT) industry, the Shanghai Securities News reported on Wednesday.
By the end of 2020, the province has deployed 73,048 Narrow Band-Internet of Things (NB-IoT) base stations and put 33,757 5G base stations into operation.
Xi Hong, an official of the provincial science and technology department, introduced that in recent year, Jiangxi has actively carried out the application integration of 5G with industries, tourism, medical treatment, police service, etc., which showed a good momentum of development.
By the end of December last year, the revenue of IoT related industries in Jiangxi amounted to 110 billion yuan (about 17 billion U.S. dollars). (Edited by Yang Yifan with Xinhua Silk Road, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
