BEIJING, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- The city of Hangzhou in east China's Zhejiang Province has been nodded to set up a pilot zone for the innovation and application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, Zhejiang Daily reported on Monday.
The establishment of the pilot zone in Hangzhou will give full play to the city's advantages in urban digital governance and advanced manufacturing, and further deepen the application of AI technology in urban management, intelligent manufacturing, and smart finance, said an official with the local government.
Besides, the city will actively explore AI governance models and paths in line with the country's actual conditions, and advance the safe and reliable promotion of new technologies and new products, the official noted.
