BEIJING, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- German auto brand BMW is recalling 71 vehicles in the Chinese market due to flaws in seat side airbags, China's market regulator said.
The recall, which will start Thursday, will involve imported 425i and 430i models produced between June 16 and Dec. 2, 2020, said a statement by the State Administration for Market Regulation.
As the software parameters of the front seat side airbags are flawed, the timing of the front seat side airbag function may be delayed when the vehicles encounter a side impact.
BMW China Automotive Trading Ltd. will reprogram the software on recalled vehicles free of charge, the statement said. Enditem
