BEIJING, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- East China Zhejiang province consumed some 189.8 billion kwh of clean energy in 2020, accounting for nearly 40 percent of its total power use in the year, according to State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Co., Ltd.
Clean energy output has been fully utilized during the year, the company said in its annual work conference.
Zhejiang has been actively optimized energy structure with more than 230,000 distributed PV projects being connected to power grid by the end of 2020, and the total PV power installed capacity exceeded 10 million kw. This made PV power output surpass hydropower and became the province's second largest power source. (Edited by Chen Xiaojie, Niu Huizhe with Xinhua Silk Road, niuhuizhe@xinhua.org)
