BEIJING, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- Ford China Co., Ltd. will recall 5,234 imported vehicles from the Chinese market next month, the country's top quality watchdog said in a statement.
The recall, set to begin on Feb. 22, will involve imported Edge SUVs manufactured between Nov. 1 and Dec. 23, 2014, according to the State Administration for Market Regulation.
The support bracket for the front-drive axle half shaft may rupture, resulting in a possible loss of motive power while driving and a loss of park function of gearbox, which could cause unintended vehicle movement.
Ford will replace the faulty parts free of charge to eliminate risks, the statement added. Enditem
