BEIJING, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- Global personal computer (PC) giant Lenovo Group continued to see its market share top the world in 2020, according to a report.
Lenovo's PC shipments hit 72.7 million units last year, up 12 percent year on year, said the report from global market research firm International Data Corporation.
The company's market share was 24 percent in 2020, down slightly from 24.2 percent in 2019.
HP and Dell ranked second and third in terms of shipments last year.
Global PC shipments rose robustly in 2020 with the catalysts being the growing number of people working from home, students learning remotely and consumer demand rebounding, according to the report.
The COVID-19 epidemic not only fueled PC market demand but also created opportunities that resulted in market expansion, the report said. Enditem
