BEIJING, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- China's futures market in December continued to report robust growth in both trading volume and turnover, industry data showed.
The futures trading volume last month stood at 773 million lots, with a turnover of 55.07 trillion yuan (about 8.52 trillion U.S. dollars). The figures rose 100.03 percent and 97.59 percent, respectively, from the same period last year, according to the China Futures Association.
In 2020, the market's trading volume totaled 6.15 billion lots, an increase of 55.29 percent year on year.
The period saw a total turnover of 437.53 trillion yuan, up 50.56 percent year on year.
In December, the Shanghai Futures Exchange was the top bourse in terms of turnover, standing at 18.91 trillion yuan, up 103.59 percent year on year. Enditem
