BEIJING, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- China's capital market is in the period of strategic opportunities, said Yi Huiman, chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, in a symposium held Monday on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China's capital market.
He pointed out that after 30 years of development, the foundation and conditions for the high-quality development of the capital market are being formed and consolidated in China, with real economy boasting huge potential, economic environment improving, residents' demands for wealth management keeping strong and competitive edges in international cooperation being strengthened.
According to Yi, it should be mentioned that the development of China's capital market is not fully balanced. There is still a long way to go in optimizing the structure of market, listed companies, investors and intermediary institutions. Efforts should be made to further enhance regulatory capabilities, cultivate healthy and rational investment concept, and forge a sound market ecology.
