BEIJING, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- Southern China's island province of Hainan saw a surge in the number of market entities in the first 11 months of this year, as the construction of the Hainan free trade port has picked up steam, attracting more domestic and overseas investors to start businesses in Hainan, Hainan Daily reported on Thursday.
In the January-November period, Hainan had about 28,000 new market entities, up 23.2 percent year on year, of which the number of new enterprises registered in the province nearly doubled from the same period of last year.
