BEIJING, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- A virtual meeting on the tax administration cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) was held on Tuesday evening to exchange views on the tax digitalization, the Xinhua-run Economic Information Daily reported on Thursday.
Themed "New Challenges, New Opportunities, New Future – Development Planning of Tax Digitalization", the meeting attracted more than 200 representatives including officials of the tax authorities of more than 50 countries, regions and international organizations.
The Belt and Road Initiative Tax Administration Cooperation Mechanism (BRITACoM) held the meeting. The BRITACoM members agreed to strengthen the tax collection and management cooperation under the BRI and promote trade and investment liberalization and facilitation among the Belt and Road countries and regions.
Meanwhile, they will also deepen the development of taxation informatization, establish a regular online training mechanism, and improve the taxation informatization level of countries and regions. (Edited by Hu Pingchao with Xinhua Silk Road, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
