BEIJING, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- Chongzuo Area of south China's (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) saw a total of nine projects signed at a recent investment promotion conference held in Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the local newspaper reported on Tuesday.
The nine projects cover fields such as financial services, business services, cold chain logistics, energy, food processing, Internet platforms, and headquarters economy.
These projects will inject new impetus into the Chongzuo Area to improve its industrial facilities, promote cross-border park construction and border trade, and deepen its investment and trade cooperation with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
It is reported that Chongzuo Area has actively leveraged its advantages of bordering Vietnam, promoted continuous innovation of cross-border trade methods, and accelerated the improvement of cross-border logistics efficiency.
On Aug. 30, 2019, China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone was inaugurated. The total area of Guangxi's pilot FTZ is nearly 120 sq km, covering the area of Nanning, Qinzhou Port and Chongzuo. (Edited by Hu Pingchao with Xinhua Silk Road, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
