BEIJING, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- The road reconstruction project from the Rongdong area of Xiongan New Area of provincial highway S333 to provincial highway S042 was completed and open to traffic Wednesday, reported Shanghai Securities News quoting China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC).
The project was undertaken by China Railway 12th Bureau Group, Co., Ltd., a member company affiliated to CRCC, and the operation of the road marks the opening of the first large-scale building materials transportation channel in Xiongan New Area.
Since the project started construction in early November of 2019, China Railway 12th Bureau Group, Co., Ltd. had adopted throughout the whole construction process the BIM (Building Information Modeling) plus GIS (Geographic Information System) technology to build 3D digital models, realizing visualized efficient management and automatic optimization of construction plans, said Bi Kenan, the project technical leader of China Railway 12th Bureau Group, Co., Ltd.
The opening of the road makes building materials transport vehicles capable of directly reaching the Rongdong area from the outside.
It's learned that to improve the road network connecting Xiongan New Area with the outside, 16 backbone roads were under construction in the same period, and three of them are fast tracks for building materials transport. (Edited by Gu Shanshan with Xinhua Silk Road, gushanshan.1987@163.com)
