BEIJING, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- The cross-border e-commerce pilot zone in Nanning, capital city of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, has kept speedy construction this year, reported Guangxi Daily Thursday.
Data showed that from January to October this year, the pilot zone had completed 31.88 million orders of imports and exports, with turnover hitting 1.627 billion yuan, up 175 percent year on year.
The pilot zone went into official operation in December 2018, and in two years, it has completed the construction of multiple key projects such as the ASEAN cross-border e-commerce incubation center, the cross-border e-commerce big data center and cross-border cold chain facilities.
It has also created China's first "three-in-one" intensive supervision model for international mail, cross-border e-commerce, and international express delivery, upgraded the public service system for cross-border e-commerce, and cut the customs clearance time from eight-odd hours to about one hours.
To further smooth logistics channels, the pilot zone is actively building cross-border logistics channels with the aim to gradually form a cross-border logistics system facing the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
In terms of road transport, the China-Vietnam cross-border e-commerce road transport channel realized normal operation, with freight volume gradually increasing.
In terms of railway transport, the construction of the Nanning international railway port has been quickened, the China-Vietnam (Nanning-Hanoi) cross-border e-commerce train has launched general trade cargo operation tests, and the China-Vietnam cross-border container train has finished 172 trips this year.
As for air transport, from January to October this year, a total of 518 takeoffs and landings were made on the SF Express China-Vietnam (Nanning-Ho Chi Minh) all-cargo aircraft international air cargo route , with loading rate reaching 70.5 percent; the "passenger to cargo" charter flight between Nanning and Manila opened.
As for sea transport, the cross-border e-commerce bonded import and export business at the ports of the Beibu Gulf has achieved initial results; and the new China-ASEAN sea-land transport channel has been put into use.
With improved infrastructure and policy environment in the pilot zone has attracted 86 cross-border e-commerce enterprises settling in.
Currently, the pilot zone is focusing on cultivating a cross-border e-commerce ecosystem, creating local featured brands, fostering a China-ASEAN cross-border e-commerce live-streaming gathering area, attracting cross-border talents and cross-border industrial resources at home and abroad to gather in Nanning, and accelerating the formation of a China-ASEAN cross-border industrial ecosystem.
