BEIJING, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- China has built nearly 700,000 5G base stations with the number of terminal connections exceeding 180 million, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
The new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation has brought effects to many industries. At the same time, it also provides opportunities for global companies and countries, especially in some emerging areas where technological routes and competition rules are still blank. The global industrial chain and supply chain's refactoring is speeding up, said Liu Liehong, vice minister of MIIT, during the China Development Forum 2020 opened Wednesday.
In 2019, China's industrial product exports covered nearly 200 countries and regions around the world, becoming an indispensable link in the global industrial chain, he added.
China will further enhance the technological innovation capabilities of enterprises, strengthen the supporting forces and optimize the institutional environment for technological innovation, and deepen relevant international cooperation, Liu said.
