BEIJING, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- China's National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ), better known as the "new third board", saw companies of its best performing companies tier, the Select Tier, all having gained profits in the third quarter, reported Xinhua-run China Securities Journal on Wednesday.
The newspaper citing data with Choice, a financial data platform in China, said that 21 of the NEEQ Select Tier companies realized profit growth in the third quarter.
Previously in late July, the first batch of companies got listed on the NEEQ Select Tier, making the third quarter as the first quarter for them to publicize their financial results, which are required to complete before October 30 of each year.
From July to September, NEEQ Select Tier companies boasted certain advantages in quarterly financial strengths compared with the NEEQ Innovation Tier and Base Tier companies.
The 32 NEEQ Select Tier companies realized total revenues of 17.661 billion yuan, up 2.66 percent year on year and their profits grossed 1.909 billion yuan, up 12.53 percent year on year.
Among them, 14 Select Tier companies reported profits growth of over 20 percent last quarter. (Edited by Duan Jing with Xinhua Silk Road, duanjing@xinhua.org)
