BEIJING, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- China's software and information technology service industry has gradually got over the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and achieved increase in business income in the first three quarters, official data showed.
During the period, software business raked in 5.84 trillion yuan of revenue, up 11.3 percent year on year, according to data released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on Thursday.
The revenue of software products increased 7.9 percent year on year to 1.59 trillion yuan in the first nine months. Of the total, the income of industrial software products reached 136.3 billion yuan, up 9.1 percent year on year.
The revenue of information technology service continued to rise, hitting 3.52 trillion yuan in the first three quarters, up 13.2 percent year on year, 3.7 percentage points higher than the first half of the year.
In breakdown, the revenue of big data service stood at 153 billion yuan, up 12.5 percent year on year, while that of integrated circuit design went up 22.3 percent year on year to 156.2 billion yuan.
During the January-September period, the software industry netted a total profit of 706.6 billion yuan, up 7.0 percent year on year, 5.7 percentage points higher than the growth in the first half of the year.
