BEIJING, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- New applications such as 5G Internet of Vehicles (IoV) and intelligent transportation will be unveiled at the upcoming 2020 World Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference, according to Qu Guochun, an official of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on Tuesday.
The conference is scheduled to be held in Beijing from November 11 to 13.
Intelligent connected vehicle is a result of the in-depth integration of the industries such as automobiles, electronics, information communications, and road transportation.
At present, China is accelerating the development of intelligent connected vehicles, improving the level of intelligent road infrastructure, and building a comprehensive application system for the IoV.
The conference will be held offline and online with the help of the cloud service and the exhibition areas for complete vehicles, key components, 5G IoV and intelligent transportation will be set up. (Edited by Hu Pingchao with Xinhua Silk Road, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
