KUNMING, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- The gross domestic product (GDP) of southwest China's Yunnan Province totaled 1.75 trillion yuan (about 262.6 billion U.S. dollars) in the first three quarters of this year, up 2.7 percent year on year, the provincial statistical bureau said Tuesday.
The value-added output of major industrial enterprises in Yunnan increased by 0.9 percent during the period, while the growth pace was 6.6 percent in September as the COVID-19 epidemic waned in China.
The province's industrial electricity consumption rose 11.5 percent to nearly 100 billion kWh during the first three quarters, 1.4 percentage points higher than that of the first half.
The province also saw a recovery of growth in investment during the period, with fixed-asset investment rising 6.5 percent year on year, 3 percentage points higher than that for the first six months. Enditem
