BEIJING, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- The Industrial and Commerical Bank of China (ICBC) singed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with southeast China's Fujian Province recently, in a bid to provide all-round financial services for the province.
According to the agreement, ICBC will offer a full range of financial services to Fujian in key industries, digital Fujian construction, opening-up, rural revitalization, inclusive finance, green finance and cross-Strait integrated development.
Yu Weiguo, secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Fujian Provincial Committee, said that Fujian is facing important strategic opportunities, which requires central financial institutions to play an irreplaceable role. The two sides are expected to further deepen a new round of strategic cooperation, implement cooperation projects in promoting scientific and technological innovation, optimizing industrial structure and increasing household income, in a bid to push forward high-quality development.
Chen Siqing, chairman of the ICBC, said the bank will step up its support for Fujian in digital economy, scientific and technological innovation, inclusive finance, real economy, social and livelihood undertakings so as to make greater contributions to Fujian's economic and social development.
