NANNING, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- The west of China has seen a total of 3,174 trips via its land-sea freight route in the first three quarters of the year, surpassing last year's total, the China Railway Nanning Group Co., Ltd. said Saturday.
The figure represents a growth of 1,657 trips from the same period in 2019, according to the company.
The land-sea freight route is part of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, a trade and logistics passage jointly built by western Chinese provinces and Singapore.
The Nanning company has this year been working on reducing logistics costs at ports and offering customized logistics plans to cut down transportation time.
Over 200,000 TEUs have been handled at the corridor's Qinzhou port so far this year, significantly surpassing last year's total. Enditem
