BEIJING, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- China's comprehensive energy service sector will embrace more development opportunities during the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) period and related policies are also under formulation, reported Shanghai Securities News Monday quoting multiple authorities in the energy sector.
Comprehensive energy service can raise the energy efficiency by breaking the barriers of electricity, gas, heat, cold and other energy systems, which is conducive to improving the modern energy system and promoting the fundamental change of energy consumption patterns, said Liu Baohua, deputy director of the National Energy Administration, at a recently-held industry forum.
Efforts should be made to speed up the development of comprehensive energy systems covering cities, areas and industrial parks, and promote the integrated development of energy and information technology, Liu noted.
He added that more attention should be paid to green development and sci-tech innovation by building distributed energy systems, creating new forms of energy services, and improving the integrated ecology of power systems.
As a new business in the energy sector that has gradually developed in recent years, comprehensive energy service has integrated a variety of technological and business innovations, showing features of openness and sharing, and helping break the industrial and technical barriers of different energy varieties to stimulate the service capacity of the energy market, said Su Wei, deputy secretary general of the National Development and Reform Commission.
The industry boasts a bright future and great potential, he noted. (Edited by Gu Shanshan with Xinhua Silk Road, gushanshan.1987@163.com)
