BEIJING, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- Southwest China's Sichuan Province inked a comprehensive strategic partnership with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) on Wednesday in a bid to jointly promote the construction of an economic circle covering Chengdu and Chongqing.
The two sides exchanged views on seizing opportunities for the construction of Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, comprehensively upgrading the level of cooperation, establishing and optimizing cooperation guarantee mechanism, and solidly implementing the agreement.
According to the agreement, ICBC will increase the input of resources in Sichuan, provide a full range of financial services, support the construction of major infrastructure in Sichuan, innovate ways to serve the development of modern industries, and vigorously develop inclusive finance.
In the meanwhile, the two sides will jointly promote the integrated development of technology and finance, build the western financial center, and strive to accelerate poverty alleviation and rural vitalization, with an aim to make contribution to the construction of Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.
