BEIJING, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Trina Solar Co., Ltd. (688599.SH) announced that it had penned a deal to carry out a 15GW PV module project in Changzhou national hi-tech industrial development zone in Changzhou city of east China's Jiangsu Province.
The company reached an investment and cooperation agreement with Changzhou national hi-tech industrial development zone management committee on Sunday, with the project investment totaling no more than 3 billion yuan, it said.
The project is scheduled to be constructed during 2020-2023, and is expected to improve the company's key scientific research capability, expand technological innovation, while further advance its output and technology upgrades, it said in a filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Trina Solar is a Jiangsu-based provider for PV module and smart energy solution and has delivered more than 50 GW of solar modules worldwide as of June 2020.
The company went listed on China's Nasdaq-style sci-tech innovation board, or the STAR market of Shanghai Stock Exchange on June 10 of 2020. (Edited by Niu Huizhe with Xinhua Silk Road, niuhuizhe@xinhua.org)
