BEIJING, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Beijing signed 14 projects last Friday with Baoding city of Hebei Province, focusing on key areas such as senior care, healthcare and infrastructure, in a bid to jointly promote industrial cooperation and the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
Specifically, the two sides will further synergize senior care industry. Beijing Association of Senior Care Industries, Beijing Silver Industry Association have inked agreements with Baoding civil affairs bureau respectively to accelerate cooperation on such areas as construction of senior care system, training and exchange of elderly service talents, development and application of products for the elderly and rehabilitation aids, in order to jointly provide high-quality elderly care services.
The two cities will work to improve regional healthcare level. Certain hospitals in Beijing and Baoding will cooperate on technology-assisted healthcare services, talent training, discipline development, telemedicine to propel the distribution of high-quality medical resources in Baoding.
The two sides will also enhance infrastructure collaboration. Cooperation on municipal planning, comprehensive water affairs, energy utilization, road transport, water supply and drainage, environmental engineering and rail transit will be conducted to improve regional public services.
It is learned that Beijing and Baoding intend to further promote alignment of industrial projects and enterprises, introduce high-end industrial factors and keep optimizing regional business environment. (Edited by Su Dan with Xinhua Silk Road, sudan@xinhua.org)
