BEIJING, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- China's services robot market has accounted for more than a quarter of the global market, figures from the China Institute of Electronics showed.
According to the China Institute of Electronics, the scale of services robot market in China is expected to exceed 4 billion U.S. dollars in 2020.
Liang Jing, deputy secretary-general of the China Institute of Electronics, noted that in 2019, the market size of global services robots rose 14.1 percent year on year to 9.46 billion U.S. dollars, of which China's services robots have a market value of 2.2 billion U.S. dollars.
Experts noted that robots for healthcare, public services, education and many other fields have huge market potential and play an increasingly significant role in empowering people's lives.
Data shows that the annual growth rate of China's robot market averaged at 20.9 percent in 2014-2019. (Edited by Yang Yifan with Xinhua Silk Road, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
