BEIJING, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- The 22nd China International Industry Fair (CIIF) is scheduled to kick off in east China's Shanghai on Sept. 15.
The five-day CIIF will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
The CIIF this year will focus on the intelligence and interconnection and continue to track new achievements of the manufacturing industry in digital, networked and intelligent upgrading.
The 22nd CIIF will have an exhibition area of 245,000 square meters. More than 2,000 enterprises will participate in the fair and nine exhibition areas will be set up to display the achievements covering basic materials and key components of the manufacturing industry, and advanced manufacturing equipment.
This year's CIIF will adopt the online and offline combined mode and the new Internet technologies such as 5G live broadcasts and virtual exhibition halls will be used.
Seminars involving topics such as integrated circuits (IC), artificial intelligence (AI), biomedicine, intelligent manufacturing, new materials, green and low-carbon, and modern transportation engineering will also be held for exchange of ideas during the fair.
