BEIJING, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- Authorities in northwest China's Shaanxi Province recently unveiled a three-year action plan (2020-2022) to promote the rural area's digital development, reported Shaanxi Daily Friday.
By 2022, Shaanxi will complete the full coverage of the 4G network in the rural areas, the construction of 5G networks, and the pilot demonstration of the application.
Shaanxi will strive to popularize green ecological rural construction in rural areas and increase the proportion of the agricultural digital economy in the added value of agriculture.
Priority will be given to developing a digital rural economy, optimizing agricultural production services, and promoting the informatization of rural education.
Meanwhile, Shaanxi Province will promote green production and lifestyle in rural areas, strengthen the informatization of rural ecological protection, and promote poverty alleviation work.
The action plan also proposes strengthening the introduction of talents in rural areas of Shaanxi Province, including introducing skills from universities, research institutions, and high-tech enterprises in the agricultural industry to support rural construction.
