BEIJING, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- Revenue of provincial-administrated enterprises in northwest China's Shaanxi Province edged up 9.4 percent year on year in July to 101.82 billion yuan, according to the local authorities.
Shaanxi's 17 leading provincial enterprises such as Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum (Group) Co, Ltd., Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. and Shaanxi Nonferrous Metals Holding Group Co., Ltd. achieved a total operating income of 630.89 billion yuan in the first seven months of the year, accounting for 90 percent of the total.
In July alone, the provincial enterprises in Shaanxi made a total profit of 3.84 billion yuan, up 37.4 percent year on year, an increase of 26.9 percentage points over June of the year.
The overall production index of those enterprises in the province surged 106 percent year on year in July, and the sales index picked up about 46 percent over the same period last year.
In addition, the prices of major products in Shaanxi, such as coal, aluminum and gasoline rose by more than five percent year on year in July.
