China's Wuhan takes measures to boost recovery of cultural and tourism industry

Abstract : A series of measures to revive the cultural and tourism industry were recently launched in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province which was severely affected by the COVID-19 epidemic, local government announced on Monday, reported by Shanghai Securities News.

BEIJING, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- A series of measures to revive the cultural and tourism industry has been recently launched in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province which was severely hit by the COVID-19 epidemic, reported by Shanghai Securities News.

According to the measures,Wuhan will provide cultural and tourism enterprises with subsidies for work and production resumption, implement special financial supports, and provide special funds.

Wuhan will provide free training for people in cultural and tourism industry, support relevant brand innovation, and promote the transformation and upgrading of the cultural and tourism industry.

In terms of the supports on key cultural and tourism projects construction, Wuhan plans to incorporate those projects into municipal-level major projects and construction plans and the city's land-use planning, solving the problem of land-use for cultural and tourism projects.

Wuhan will also speed up the construction of key projects by providing subsidies of 3 percent of the investment amount for projects those utilize social capital and have an annual investment of 10 million yuan in 2020, with the maximum subsidy of 1 million yuan.

In addition, Wuhan will hand out cultural and tourism vouchers worth 80 million yuan to boost the city's cultural and tourism consumption.
