BEIJING, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- China's postal industry reported robust growth in revenue and business volume in the first seven months of this year, the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News reported on Wednesday.
The business revenue of the sector totaled 590.95 billion yuan in the January-July period, up 11.8 percent year on year, according to statistics released by the State Post Bureau.
Business volume rose 23.8 percent from the same period last year to about 1.05 trillion yuan.
In the first seven months of the year, China's express delivery firms handled 40.82 billion parcels, up 23.7 percent year on year, with their business revenues up 13.5 percent year on year to 454.71 billion yuan.
