BEIJING, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Xiongdong substation, the first 500 kV substation in Xiongan New Area, has started construction recently, reported Economic Information Daily Wednesday.
The substation is a key node project of main energy transmission channel in Xiongan New Area, and it will provide strong power guarantee for the large-scale development and construction of the area.
It is learned that Xiongdong substation project has a total investment of 460 million yuan and is scheduled to be completed and put into operation in May 2022.
Xiongdong substation has fully applied Beidou system in its construction operations, after completion, it will form a 500 kV circle network around northwestern part of Xiongan New Area together with 500 kV Yishui substation, which will become main energy transmission channel in the Xiongan New Area.
In the past three years, the State Grid Hebei Electric Power has invested more than 2.6 billion yuan to promote a set of projects construction, which boosted realization of full coverage of power grid projects from UHV to low voltage in Xiongan New Area.
