BEIJING, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Southwest China's Guizhou has recently launched a series of measures to revive its cultural and tourism industry which was severely affected by the COVID-19 epidemic by offering half-price discount for scenic spots tickets and handing out cultural and tourism vouchers worth 10 million yuan, accoarding to Guizhou Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.
From August 1 to December 31, all tourists will be offered a half-price discount for tickets when they visit A-level scenic spots in Guizhou province, and tourists will also enjoy a 40 percent discount if they make the reservations for spots through the WeChat mini program.
In addition, A-level scenic spots will implement a ticket-free policy for all medical workers, disease control workers, and rural doctors.
Guizhou has handed out cultural and tourism vouchers worth 10 million yuan. Tourists who hold the vouchers can enjoy deductions and exemptions in accommodation and catering in Guizhou. 100 high-quality tourist routes, 1800 tour group products, and more than 200 self-guided tour products were also launched.
Guizhou will continue to focus on the prevention and control of epidemic in tourist attractions, strengthen the management of the opening of scenic spots, and ensure the safety of tourists, according to relevant person in charge of the provincial department of culture and tourism.
