BEIJING, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Chinese tech giant Tencent and German carmaker BMW announced on Monday to enhance digital cooperation by integrating Tencent WeScenario and WeChat into BMW's in-car system, reported Securities Daily Tuesday.
WeScenario is a in-car application tailored for travel scenarios which can be used without download and installation. It supports voice interaction, a function suitable to be used in the driving environment.
The first batch of selected scenarios to be put on the in-car WeScenario under the cooperation between Tencent and BMW will be launched in the Chinese market within the year, covering rich fields including news, food, entertainment, travel and education.
The in-car WeChat to be introduced to BMW cars supports full voice interaction which can allow users to maintain social communication while driving safely.
It's learned that currently Tencent has carried out digital cooperation with 30 major car companies to further provide "digital infrastructure" for the automotive industry. (Edited by Gu Shanshan with Xinhua Silk Road, gushanshan.1987@163.com)
