BEIJING, July 20 (Xinhua) – Central China's Hunan Province saw its industrial energy output recover rapidly in the first half of the year, ensuring Hunan's local energy supply effectively, reported local newspaper Hunan Daily Saturday.
The province's coal output reached 4.95 million tonnes in January-June, down 15.3 percent year on year, with the decrease narrowing down 7 percentage points from that of first quarter.
The drop in crude oil output was 5.6 percentage points lower than that in the first quarter, with total output stood at 4.14 million tonnes.
Diesel output picked up 2.2 percent on year to 1.08 million tonnes in the period, while gasoline output reached 1.19 million tonnes, down 12.7 percent year on year.
It is noted that Hunan's power output came in at 68.59 billion kilowatts hours (kw/h) in the first six months.
