URUMQI, July 16 (Xinhua) -- Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region granted export tax refund and exemption worth 1.7 billion yuan in the first half of the year to relieve the financial pressure of export enterprises amid the COVID-19 epidemic, reported local newspaper Xinjiang Daily Wednesday.
Since the year begins, the tax authorities in Xinjiang have been applying online tax refund for export enterprises, restoring the scale of local tax refund and the number of declared enterprises to 92 percent and 96 percent of those in the same period last year, respectively.
Tax authorities have taken various measures to offer favorable tax refund for export companies amid the epidemic, such as shortening processing time to three and a half days, and carrying out tax refund within one day for export firms with high credit rating, said the authorities.
It is noted that Xinjiang will further provide convenience tax processing for export enterprises, such as offering a customized tax plan for each export company and adopting mobile application for tax refund.
