BEIJING, July 15 (Xinhua) -- China's National Development and Reform Commission recently issued a circular on promoting construction of green industry demonstration bases, which also said it will support eligible green industry enterprises to go public for financing.
Progress should be made in the construction of green industry demonstration bases and a number of leading enterprises in the green industry should take shape by 2025, said the document.
The circular set out five key tasks, including promoting green industry agglomeration, enhancing the competitiveness of green industry, building a system in favor of technological innovation, building an operation service platform and improving the policy system and mechanism.
Local governments should facilitate the construction of green industry demonstration bases in overall planning, financial support, land use and infrastructure construction and give priority to projects that meet relevant criteria, according to the circular.
Support for green credit and green bonds issuance will be strengthened, and green financial innovation is encouraged in the construction of demonstration bases.
In addition, measures to encourage green consumption will be launched as well. It's expected that the supply and consumption of green industry will both see more policy support in the future.
