BEIJING, July 13 (Xinhua) -- East China's Zhejiang Province will build over 120,000 5G base stations by 2022, according to the three-year action plan of the province on promoting new infrastructure construction (2020-2022) released last Friday.
In the following three years, Zhejiang Province will highlight the construction of digital infrastructure, intelligent infrastructure and innovative infrastructure, which involves an investment of nearly 1 trillion yuan.
Zhejiang Province will strive to build itself into a province with leading investment amount, new generation of digital infrastructure networks, leading intelligent integration application on infrastructure, and leading industry chain ecology.
In specific, by 2022, Zhejiang plans to establish about 25 large and ultra-large cloud data centers, realize an increase of over 20 percent in the level of infrastructure intelligence in key areas, cultivate more than 10 industrial demonstration bases, foster over 100 benchmark enterprises, and build over 100 high-level innovation platforms.
