BEIJING, July 12 (Xinhua) -- BMW (China) Automotive Trading Ltd. will recall 356 imported cars from the Chinese market due to defects in steering tie rods, according to the country's top quality watchdog.
The recall, set to begin on July 24, will involve imported X3 M, X4 M, and Z4 model sedans manufactured between Dec. 11, 2018, and May 14, 2019, said a statement on the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation.
The steering tie rods on the involved vehicles may fracture when the vibrating load becomes too huge, for example when the condition of the road is particularly poor, thus increasing the risks of accidents.
The auto company will replace the faulty tie rods free of charge to eliminate risks, according to the statement. Enditem
