BEIJING, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Hainan International Business Council (HIBC) has recently signed cooperation MOUs with 6 associations of Chinese enterprises in European countries at an online invesmtent promotion conference held on Wednesday in in Haikou, capital city of South China's Hainan province.
Under the MOUs, HIBC will cooperate with 6 Chinese-funded business associations including the Russian Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Britain, France, Germany and Denmark, and the Portuguese-Chinese Association of Chinese Enterprises to further enhance information sharing, exhibition cooperation and trade and investment promotion.
The Overall Plan for the Construction of Hainan Free Trade Port was announced on June 1, marking the official start of the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port. Under this important background, the cooperation between associations of Chinese enterprises in European countries and HIBC has created a new model of mutually beneficial cooperation between foreign chambers of commerce and local institutions, combining "going out" with "bringing in" of enterprises, according to an official with China's Ministry of Commerce.
During the conference, representatives from associations of Chinese enterprises in European countries said that they will use their own advantages and channels to actively promote their host countries to seize the opportunity of the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port and encourage the investment layout of local enterprises in Hainan, further promoting the trade and investment cooperation between Hainan Free Trade Port and European countries.
