The five projects involve the cross-border logistics of the port, investment and financing, border tourism, high-speed rail supporting facilities, and smart city construction.
At present, the zone is coordinating and advancing 274 key projects. A batch of projects, like the border trade service platform, have been put into use. Construction on the projects such as a border deep processing industrial park, a Thai cultural park, and the China-ASEAN self-driving tour headquarters were accelerated, according to Ban Zhongbai, mayor of Fangchenggang city and also Party chief of the zone.
Ban said that the zone will further improve the system and mechanism, accelerate the project construction and industrial development, and promote the opening to the outside world.
