BEIJING, June 28 (Xinhua) -- China's postal industry witnessed robust growth during the three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday that ends Saturday.
According to statistics released by the State Post Bureau, Chinese express delivery firms collected 607 million parcels during the holiday, up 45.38 percent from one year earlier.
During the holiday, a total of 651 million packages were delivered, an increase of 47.68 percent year on year.
More and more consumers are willing to purchase traditional foods online to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival holiday.
China has rolled out a series of measures to promote consumption and boost consumers' confidence.
In May, the business revenue of the sector totaled 95.11 billion yuan (about 13.4 billion U.S. dollars), up 21.9 percent year on year. (Edited by Yang Yifan with Xinhua Silk Road, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
