BEIJING, June 24 (Xinhua) -- New infrastructure has steered China's unmanned driving development into fast lane, reported Shanghai Securities News Wednesday quoting a company executive.
Wang Jin, Chairman and CEO of Allride·AI, a technology company based in Nanjing, capital city of east China's Jiangsu Province, said that the three important areas of new infrastructure, namely artificial intelligence (AI), 5G base sation construction, and big data center, will greatly drive China's driverless technology development, at the China Artificial Intelligence Summit 2020 (CAIS 2020) held Tuesday in Nanjing.
New infrastructure has provided decisive support for the technical route of vehicle-road collaboration, while the implementation of vehicle-road collaboration will accelerate the implementation of smart transportation in China, providing an excellent opportunity for China's unmanned driving to surpass the world's most advanced level, said Wang.
He also calls for China to develop core unmanned driving technology with independent intellectual property rights and lower the dependence on foreign core technology.
It's learned that Allride·AI is committed to promoting safer unmanned driving and smart transportation with in-depth integration of 5G and AI technology, and it was among the first receivers of the Yangtze River Delta integration intelligent connected vehicle road test license issued last September.
