BEIJING, June 26 (Xinhua) - China will quicken the pace to promote the cross-industry integration of intelligent connected vehicles（ICVs）, improve the level of intelligent road infrastructure, and build a comprehensive ICV application system in an effort to further push forward the development of the ICV industry.
More efforts should be made to build a standard system of ICV industry, improve infrastructure, application services and security, and accelerate the creation of an open and integrated industrial ecology, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
The country will give priority to accelerating the deep integration of network communication technology, artificial intelligence technology and road transportation infrastructure, and promoting the connectivity of electric vehicles and charging piles.
The MIIT proposed that it will ramp up support for the application of new technologies and push for the construction of charging and battery-swapping infrastructure to further prompt the rapid growth of ICV industry in China.
