BEIJING, June 23 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai Lingang Economic Development (Group) Co., Ltd. on Monday signed a strategic cooperation agreement with AllRide.ai to promote the development of unmanned intelligent transportation in the Lingang area of Shanghai free trade zone (FTZ).
Under the agreement, the two sides will jointly promote the development and scientific research of the intelligent mobility industry, and build a demonstration base for technological innovation and industrial application of intelligent mobility.
At the same time, they will also promote the application and implementation of unmanned intelligent mobility services, create an ecological chain for the driverless industry, and establish an ecosystem that integrates automobile industry with the telecommunications industry.
Specifically, regarding the research and development of 5G AI driverless technology and related applications in intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs), the two sides will cooperate with each other to create a number of functional carriers and service platforms to form a full industrial chain involving research and development, testing, demonstration applications and production.
Intelligent transportation will be a bright spot of Lingang area in the future. The intelligent transportation mode achieved in the Lingang area will be copied and promoted nationwide. With development of the new infrastructure, the intelligent transportation is ushering in a period of robust development, according to Yuan Guohua, president of the Lingang Group.
