HOHHOT, June 9 (Xinhua) -- International packaging giant Tetra Pak on Tuesday broke ground on a new closures production facility in Hohhot, capital of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
The packaging supplier will invest 700 million yuan (about 98.8 million U.S. dollars) in the factory at the Hohhot Economic and Technological Development Zone, said corporate sources.
The construction phase is expected to be completed in early 2021. The new factory will be capable of producing 10 billion carton closures a year after it begins production, creating 200 jobs, said the sources.
Analysts say the factory will ensure more stable and efficient delivery of closures to customers including Chinese dairy giants Yili and Mengniu. Enditem
