BEIJING, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Mitsubishi Motors (China) Limited will recall 5,094 vehicles in China over concerns about the welding strength on the front right-hand suspension lower control arm, according to China's top quality watchdog.
The recall, set to begin on August 1, involves imported Pajero vehicles manufactured between Oct. 14, 2016, and Nov. 25, 2017, according to a statement on the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation.
Inadequate welding strength on the front right-hand suspension lower control arm could lead to steering failure, increasing the risk of injury or accident for both the driver and other road users, the statement said.
The company promised to check all the recalled vehicles and replace the faulty parts free of charge. Enditem
