BEIJING, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Suifenhe Area of China (Heilongjiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) has recently seen the first batch of goods imported from the Republic of Korea (ROK) by railway, reported cet.com.cn on Monday.
Filled in two containers, the goods include nori and coffee with a total value of 900,000 yuan.
Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Suifenhe FTZ adjusted the transportation mode and encouraged businesses to conduct mutual trade through railway ports to effectively reduce the risk of customs clearance at highway ports.
At present, Suifenhe FTZ has imported goods from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and the ROK.
By the end of April, 36,900 tons of goods had been shipped to the area with a total import value of 162 million yuan, accounting for 74.6 percent of the province's total.
